I was so happy today to see that Pinnacle Hospital had perfect weather today (6-22-19) for their Health Fair. Dozens of area providers from the health sector were on hand to inform residents of various services right here in our region.
Merrillville’s Fire Department displayed the “Smoke House” where anyone could go through a trailer to experience what it might be like if your home was on fire and you had to exit. Darkness and smoke made it REAL! Lake County SWAT and the helicopter was on display as well.
I am looking forward to the summer events and amazing festivals in our region this summer. I don’t believe you can have too many events to get neighbors out of the houses and into the community. I will always support events in Merrillville. -Rick Bella
