This year (2023) the Town Council began a Ted Style Town Talk series to help educate residents about municipal operations. Our first talk was titled TOWN TAX TALK and provided a guest presenter (Michael Griffin) and a panel of area experts in various fields to serve as a question and answer panel. Griffin, with his over 35 years of governmental service did an amazing job of making the normally boring topic of taxes fairly fun.
Our next TOWN TALK will be on October 26, 2023, and will feature the Merrillville Police Department. We hope you can make it at 6 p.m. to learn about police services, meet some of our great K9 officers and dogs, and learn about the different and innovative ways our police department operates to keep us all safe.
