With this year being such a challenging year it will be nice to look forward to something positive for our Merrillville community. The Town of Merrillville Community & Recreation Center will be opening March of 2021! The building is up and inside work is underway laying the basketball/volleyball wood courts, completing the walk/running elevated track, and exercise rooms, social gathering rooms, and a convention/banquet room for up to over 500! A football/soccer field will be installed with lighting. Watch this video tour for more information. I’ll post updated videos and photos as the project continues.
