NATIONAL NIGHT OUT on August 2nd. Together we can make our community safer, and a more caring place to live. The town will allow residents to gather behind the Dean and Barbara White Community Center to meet your neighbors. Bring your grill and enjoy meeting some of our Merrillville Police Officers. The best way to build a safer community is to know your neighbors and your surroundings. National Night Out triumphs over a culture that isolate us from each other and allows us to rediscover our own communities. It enhances the relationship between residents and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community.

I hope you can make it to these wonderful events planned for our community. It will be great having Fireworks and the July 4th Parade back for all kids (young and old)! Please come out and spend time with YOUR community!
